Shane W. Morton
I design, build, and test mechanical systems — from CAD models to working hardware — and document the process along the way.
I'm a Mechanical Engineering student at CU Boulder, currently working through coursework like MCEN 3030 (Computational Methods) alongside hands-on project work — most recently a Ryobi-drill-powered vehicle for my Component Design course, where I serve as the systems and testing engineer.
I like projects that go all the way from a CAD model to a physical object you can actually test: modeling a full Nintendo Switch 2 assembly in SolidWorks to sharpen my drafting skills, or building an Arduino-based people-counting system with a small team to solve a real problem on campus.
Outside of engineering coursework, I write and edit video — you can find both in the Writing and Video sections of this site.
Replace this paragraph (and the two above) with as much about-me content as you'd like — background, goals, hobbies, whatever you want visitors to know. Swap assets/img/profile-headshot.png for a current photo whenever you'd like to update it.
